European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS
In 2026, the European Union will introduce the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) in the final quarter of the year, marking a major change for visitors from 59 visa-exempt countries. ETIAS is not a visa, but a mandatory electronic authorization for short stays (up to 90 days) in 30 European countries.
